For a senior leadership curation, EcoMestre Collective was entrusted with designing an experience that went beyond conventional gifting. The intent was to bring together India’s diversity — of materials, crafts, and communities — into a single, thoughtful gesture that felt rooted, refined, and deeply meaningful.
Each curation was anchored in a handwoven Sabai grass basket, crafted by artisan communities in eastern India, chosen for its natural strength and symbolism of continuity and craft. Within it, every piece was carefully selected to reflect a different region and story. A tech organizer handwoven on traditional looms from upcycled newspaper by tribal women artisans spoke to circular design and everyday utility. A soft stole made from bamboo fibre, sourced from the Punjab region, brought in a sense of understated luxury rooted in natural materials.
The curation was further elevated with a handcrafted soy wax candle, poured into real tree bark containers by a small, women-run enterprise in Ajmer, Rajasthan. Each piece was shaped by nature and finished by hand. Completing the experience were stainless steel tiffin boxes, hand-painted by artisan clusters in Rajasthan, celebrating regional motifs and craftsmanship that have endured across generations.
This curation brought together multiple local vendors, women-led micro-enterprises, and artisan clusters from across the country, supporting sustainable livelihoods while ensuring ethical sourcing at every step. True to EcoMestre Collective’s ethos, the entire experience was designed without the use of single-use plastic, from product creation to final packaging.
More than a gift, this was a statement — a way to honour leadership through intention, heritage, and responsibility. The result was a curation that leaders could hold in their hands, and a story of India they could carry forward with pride.
